Hi, nice to meet you

Kirsten Elfe is a textiles and fashion designer raised on the seacoast of New England. In May of 2019, Elfe graduated from Maine College of Art in Portland with a BFA in Textiles + Fashion Design. Her thesis work was shown in MECA’s annual runway show where she exhibited her thesis collection, Euro Kind, which explored film costuming through woven and machine knit couture. Elfe competed in the inaugural Project Upcycle design competition of 2018 held at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She led a beginner’s sewing workshop there in July of 2019 entitled Fashion ReWerked. In September of 2019, Elfe taught an Upcycled Millinery Workshop at Haystack Mountain School of Craft in Deer Isle, Maine as part of their Studio-Based Learning Series. Most recently, her work was shown in the Trash + Textiles Runway Show held in March of 2020 at Wrong Brain Art Space in Dover, New Hampshire. She is currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
